Patients who experience palpitations may like to access our holter service.

The service consists of a small, wearable device that is attached to the chest that constantly monitors the heart rate and rhythm. This creates a file which we send on to a cardiologist (heart doctor) who produce a report based on the monitor findings. The report can be shared with a doctor of your choice including GPs and DHB or private cardiologists.

This service is ideal for diagnosing the cause of palpitations, or for patients who are waiting to see cardiology for diagnosis of arrhythmia who would prefer to have this information available for their first appointment.

Holter monitoring is booked by time; we offer a one, two or seven day test. Pricing varies according to the time frame specified.

NB: You MUST be enrolled with a regular GP who is responsible for your ongoing care in order to access this service.
