Prerequisites:

• Urgent care/acute care experience
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Organisational and time management skills, be efficient/flexible, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• You will have a genuine interest in improving health outcomes for Māori and other underserved populations in our community
• MCNZ registration
• Able to work shifts between 0800-2100 and weekends

Casual Medical Receptionist:

City Medical is a busy Urgent Care Centre looking for a well organised and detail oriented casual receptionist with a warm and cheerful personality, to join our friendly team.

The position is a multitasking role which includes providing a welcoming face for the organisation, excellent telephone and customer service skills as well as a broad range of administrative duties. Responsibilities include reception of patients, associated clerical work, answering telephone calls, receiving payments, general office duties, and assisting in the smooth running of the centre.  We need a quick learner who adapts easily to change.

The essentials for this position include exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills in an often high pressure environment, accurate data entry, attention to detail, flexibility in working hours and the ability to work both autonomously and cohesively as part of a team.

This role is a casual position (as required), working revolving shifts including daytime, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays between the hours of 7.30am and 9.30pm. Experience with Medtech32 software and immediate availability is strongly preferred.

Casual Registered Nurses:

City Medical is an urgent care centre located in the bustling heart of Napier which boasts old-town deco charm, a large number of restaurants and bars, as well as being at the centre of this great wine-growing region.

We provide walk-in and emergent care for a wide range of clients as well as servicing our member network of GP’s for specialist testing.

We are seeking applications from skilled, motivated Registered Nurses with a background in emergency or urgent care to join our dedicated team. The position is casual; providing relief cover.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in emergency or urgent care
• ACEN Triage accreditation
• Resuscitation skills including: CORE advanced, ENPC and TNCC
• Working knowledge of ECG performance and interpretation
• Cannulation skills and IV accreditation are an advantage

Extended Care Paramedic

Let City Medical become your new clinical home.

We are looking to employ an experienced Extended Care Paramedic join our clinical team to provide planned and unplanned care.

As the only out of hours urgent care provider in Napier we see around 110 patients per day, comprising a wide variety of clinical presentations from true primary care to true emergency care and everything in between.  Each day is varied and interesting!

You will be part of a growing multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurse practitioner, nurse prescribers, practice nurses and health care assistants; while also being supported by our Medical Director and Clinical Nurse Manager

Our goal is to make sure that the patient sees the right person, in the right place, at the right time

The ideal candidate will have a clear focus on quality and the development of new and extended services to meet the varied needs of our client base.
